To facilitate communication and collaboration among folk groups, institutions, educational establishments and communities at national level.
To promote the professionalism, continuous training and transmission of traditional and heritage knowledge.
To strengthen an information and registration system for folkloric groups and expressions of the country.
To promote public policies and strategic actions for the safeguard and dissemination of intangible heritage.

To be a national and international reference point in the articulation of the Panamanian folklore sector, promoting an inclusive, dynamic and representative network that guarantees the continuity, dissemination and development of folklore as a living identity of the Panamanian people.
